Mr. Narongsak Osatanakorn, Phayao Govenor and former Head of Search and Rescue Operation Center for  the 12 young footballers and their assistant coach of  Wild Boars Soccer Team at  Tham Luang Khun Nam Nangnon in Chiang Rai Province together with Mr. Ekkapol Chantawong, Assistant Coach and Master Adul Sam-on, one of the survivors from the incredible rescue at Thailand’s Tham Luang caves received “Asia Game Changer Awards”  from the Asia Society Association as the representatives of the group of peoples  who made changes, imbued inspiration and made rescue operation possible in New York, the United States of America on 9 October 2018.

Mr. Narongsak Osatanakorn said he appreciated the support from the government, organizations, volunteers, media and specialists from all over the world, who came to work together with faith and trust, and above all, the support from His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and the Royal Family. He went on to say that” I wish the entire incident inspires everyone to start living for others”, and that “this small change could be a game changer for the world”
