Thidapa Suwannapura, the world number 166, beat Brittany Lincicom of the United States of America in a thrilling play off, and won her first LPGA tour trophy at the Marathon Classic Golf Tournament at Highland Meadows Golf Club, Sylvania, Ohio, the United States of America on 15 July 2018.

Thidapa Suwannapura became the third Thai winner in the LPGA Golf Tournament in 2018 after both of the Jutanugarn sisters, Ariya Jutanugarn and Moriya Jutanugarn. She is now ranked 95^th of the world.
