In the 1^st Asia Junior Marching Band Competition, held in Selangor, Malaysia during 20 – 22 July 2017, Thai young marching bands won three top prize categories. The Tesaban one (Engsiang Samakkee) school in Songkhla Province as the winner in Open category and in Drumline War category under 16 year of age. The Chiang Khong Kindergaten in Chiang Rai Province won the first prize in Junior High School category. The Supattra Kindergaten in Bangkok won the first prize in Kindergarten category.
