The famous Travel-Leisure website released the survey on the World’s Best Cities 2017 on 11 July 2017, in which Chiang Mai won the score of  91.40  and was ranked first among Asia’s Best Cities 2017  and a third place in the World’s Best Cities 2017.  The World’s Best City is  San Miguel de Allende of  Mexico with the score of 92.12 and the second place is Charlston, South Carolina, the U.S. with the score of 91.54.

The survey was conducted by tourists around the world, weighing the score from r travel experience, sights, landmark, culture, cuisine, friendliness, shopping,  and overall value.
