The Thai Youth Orchestra (TYO) under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana with the support of the Ministry of Culture  won the Prize for Outstanding Symphony Orchestra in the 11^th Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival 2017 in Vienna, the Republic of  Austria on 11 July 2017.  The Youth Orchestra Contenders came from 7 countries, namely Thailand, the Philippines, China, Taiwan, the United States, Spain and Austria.

            The Thai Youth Orchestra played the songs   “Klai Roong” (Near Dawn) and “Saeng Duean” (Magic Beam) , both composed by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej  in the competition.
