Patompob Phonarjthan made history as the first Thai cyclist to win the gold medal in the men elite’s 15 km. Scratch category in the final round of the 39^th Asian Track Championships 2019, held in Jakarta, Indonesia on 10 January 2019.   Patompob earns his rights from this championship to compete in the upcoming World Track Championships to be held in Poland around February – March 2019.
