Miss Ratchanok Intanon, Fifth seed from Thailand claimed the first title of the year 2018 after she overcame top-ranked and World Number One, Tai Tzu-Ying from Taiwan 21-16, 14-21, 24-22 in women’s singles final of the Perodua Malaysia Masters Tournament  in  Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 21 January 2018 .
