The 28^th Singapore International Film Festival, held in Singapore from  28 November 2017 swiped the curtain to close on 3 December 2017, by which many Thai filmmakers won acclamation.   Mr. Anucha Boonyawatana  of Thailand was named  Best Director for “ Malila: The Farewell Flower ” in the Silver Screen Prize.  Mr. Sorayos Prapapan of Thailand  was named Best  Director for “ Death of the Soundman ”  for short movie. The Death of the Soundman” also won the Youth Jury Prize, decided by a panel of students.  A film project on “ A Useful Ghost” by  Mr. Ratchaphoom Boonbanchachoke was also awarded “ the Most Promising Project”  from the Southeast  Asian Lab.
