World Economic Forum, a world renowned economic research institution in Switzerland, released the 2018 edition of the Global Competitiveness Report , which sheds light on an emerging set of drivers of productivity and long-term growth of the countries in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4.0) ; comprising Institutions, infrastructure, ICT adaption, macroeconomic stability, health, education and skills, domestic competition, labour market, financial system, market size, business dynamism and innovation capability. Thailand moves up two levels to 38th place from 40th place last year and remains the third place in ASEAN in the report.
