Euromonitor International unveiled the Top 100 City Destinations Ranking 2017 Edition from the statistics of international tourist arrivals in 2016 at the World Travel Market, held in London, the United Kingdom on 7 November 2017.  Bangkok still retains her position as the second most visited city destination in the world as in 2015.  In 2016, a number of tourist arrivals in Thailand have increased 9.5 per cent to 21.2 million visitors, overtaking London, which is ranked third at 19.2 million visitors, and stepping closer to Hong Kong, which is ranked first at 26.6 million visitors.
