Thai Cultural Weekend exhibits Thai Art 

The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology hosted the “Thai Cultural Weekend” which featured artistic Thai dance movements from different regions in Thailand. Visitors had the opportunity to mingle with the performers and sample Thai dishes prepared by the best restaurants in Hanoi.  

The Bunditpatanasilpa Institute performed traditional and contemporary dance pieces like the four-region dance, a cock-fighting dance, and Khon (a traditional Thai dance featuring colorful and intricate costumes). Shows were performed twice a day and audiences were encouraged to interact and ask questions about Thai dances.  

The event is the first in a series of cultural showcases that are part of the Cultural Co-operation Agreement initiated last year during Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s visit to Vietnam.
