From 6-10 September 2014, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn visited Ireland and the United Kingdom. In this regard, Princess Sirindhorn met President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins at the Residence of the President in Dublin and also looked around a number of important educational institutions and places such as Trinity College Dublin and the Lion livestock development of College University. Later, Princess Sirindhorn travelled to the UK to preside over the 16th International Conference on Thai seedling at the royal botanical garden Kew and also went to learn how the seed bank of Western Place botanical garden runs.
