The Royal Thai Embassy in The Hague and the Thai community in the Netherlands have the pleasure to extend an open invitation for all to attend the “Thailand Grand Festival 2014”, an annual celebration that will take place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 July 2014 from 12.00 to 20.00 hours at Plein, The Hague.

The Festival will be an ideal opportunity for the Thai community, the Dutch public, as well as people from other horizons to get together to celebrate the arrival of summer in style, and discover, or re-discover, the uniquely famous Thai hospitality right in the heart of the city of The Hague. The event will feature Thai culture and traditions under various forms, and will indeed be a showcase of the world-renowned Thai culinary arts.

Along with a large selection of freshly prepared Thai savoury dishes and sweets, attractions will include
  - Performances of Thai traditional and contemporary music and dances;
  - Demonstration of fruit and vegetable carving;
  - Cooking lessons;
  - Demonstration of Thai traditional knowledge on herbal uses;
  - Show fights of the redoubtable self-defense art “Muay Thai”;
  - Traditional Thai massage;
  - Free tasting sessions of fresh Thai fruit, specially flown in for the event.
The spirit of “Sanook”, or having fun the Thai way, will indeed animate the whole celebration.
For nine consecutive years now, the “Thailand Grand Festival” has been a great summer success among the Dutch public and foreign visitors alike. It is now high time that this joyful Festival be brought to the people of The Hague. All will be most welcome, and admission is free!
