World Bank released its Doing Business 2020 report in October 2019. The report measures regulations across 190 economies to assess the business environment which favours economic growth in each economy over 12 months ending April 30, 2019.  Thailand has moved up from 27^th place in 2019 to 21^st place in 2020.

The contributing factors for Thailand’s ranking are the integration of digital system into government services such as taxation system, business facilitation and electronic payment system, as well as the improvement of rules and regulations to enhance business competitive potentiality, and investor protection.
