President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China presented the Friendship Medal to Her Royal Highness Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on the 70^th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China on 29 September 2019.

The presentation of the Friendship Medal, the highest honour given by the Chinese government to foreigners, represents the Chinese’s admiration to the Royal Monarchy of Thailand’s contributions to the promotion of the long-standing relations between China and Thailand, and the excellent close and cordial relationship between China and Thailand.
