Ministry of Public Health of Thailand gave a press meeting on 5 February 2020 that a Thai taxi driver, the first Thai infected with coronavirus in Thailand, has been discharged from the Bamrat Naradul Medical Institution, Ministry of Public Health, on 5 February 2020. He is now strong and healthy enough to resume his occupation.

 As of 5 February 2020, a total number of Thai infected with coronavirus are 25 cases. 9 patients have been released from hospitals, and 16 patients are still being treated in the medical units.
